For nearly two decades the Peng family owned and operated two of Lawrence’s premier Chinese restaurants, the Panda Garden and the Plum Tree. In the summer of 2008, the Peng family decided to merge the two restaurants into the Panda & Plum Garden restaurant, using the former Panda Garden, 1500 W. 6th St., location for the new venture.

The new Panda & Plum Garden brings together the two former restaurants not only in name but also their high quality food and service. While the faces who greet our customers may be new, and the paint may be fresh, the spirit and love for Lawrence and surrounding communities is as strong as ever. And as always, we delight in meeting first time and new customers who come from around the USA and world!

The Peng family is grateful that we have become a part of your lives as you have become a part of ours. Thus, renovating our family restaurant has really been a renovation of your family restaurant.
